There are as many types of live tooling as there are machines. Live tooling can be used for everything from drilling .007" holes to stradle milling Stainless. The requirements of speed, accuracy, strength, spindle speed, and price vary greatly. Here we are showing a collection of spindles driven by a flexible shaft. This has become a popular way to get alot of HP to a spindle mounted on the slide without taking up much space. The motor is outside the machine away from the chips and oil.
